Yes, curious as it may seem, 'tis true, me little leprachaun'. In a remote corner of Spain in Lorca, Murcia, St Patrick's Day is celebrated with relish, dancing and the raising of both the Spanish and Irish flags in honour of a battle won on 17th March , 1452. Since then the ties were knotted. The Lorcans named their most important church, San Patricio in honour of this especially lucky day for them.
